The Bed You Lie In

Artspace
Auckland, New Zealand
2004

A packing crate containing Wandering Jew (Tradescantia fluminensis) was transported from Wellington to Auckland. The plant, native to South America, is a common weed in both locations. The piece was also shown at the Margaret Laurence Gallery, VCA, Melbourne in March 2006. On this occasion the weed was transported from Sydney to Melbourne. Again the weed is common to both areas.
